Enhancing Coordination Processes
Enhancing coordination processes is an activity area which the safety and security programme engages with under each of its three sub-programme areas. As an activity, enhancing coordination processes aim to overcome the obstacles to coordination which are often undertaken through conducting meetings amongst role players to create a platform for dialogue and information sharing. A series of short, focused meetings often provides an opportunity for role players to engage on issues, and to move forward through the development of a short-term coordinated agenda. In some cases SaferAfrica provides facilitation of meetings leading to improved coordination, while in other instances we support the process through the provision of conferencing and logistical support.
