Tanzania Destruction
As a result of the implementation process of the National Action Plan in Small Arms and Light Weapons of Tanzania the police obtained, through voluntary surrender, over 5000 weapons which were publicly destroyed in August 2003 during the Tanzania Police Day. SaferAfrica provided the technical assistance for the destruction. The EU Commission and the UK government funded the activity.
