In June 2006, SaferAfrica presented a paper at an Expert General Meeting on Natural Resources and Conflict, hosted by the UN Office of the Special Advisor on Africa (OSAA)
Paper presented on the role of China
SaferAfrica presented a paper, on the role of China in the exploitation of Africa’s natural resources, at a conference in London hosted by the Institute of Public Policy Research in June.
Development of a network of CSOs and Research institutions
SaferAfrica has also commenced development of a network of civil society organisations and research institutions in other regions, in support of the generation of continental minimum standards.
Provided support to the AU Peace Support Operations
Provided support to the AU Peace Support Operations Division for the Workshop in September-October 2006 on the harmonisation of the African Standby Force workshop outputs.
